Maybe: If you can push on one spot along a rib and get a sharp, sudden, intense pain, then probably cracked a rib from coughing. If not, then could be a "stitch" (usually pleural lining) from irritation / inflammation of covering of lung and chest wall caused by whatever you are suffering with (infection/allergy/etc.). Tylenol (acetaminophen) / NSAID and a little time usually resolve. See Dr if persists.

4th day of lower throat mucus causing rattling (yellow mucus brought up from throat w/ cough), cough, joint and body aches hard to get up. Fever. Trouble sleeping. Mild queasy stomach (no throwing up). What could this be? Nose clear, no sore throat.
