Probably: Patients with PCOS are at very high risk of developing diabetes. Look for dark pigmentation under your arms and around your neck. This is known as "acanthosis nigricans." If you have AN, you probably have prediabetes and should be screened via an A1C blood test. About 30 % of patients with prediabetes and PCOS progress to diabetes each year. Exercise and weight loss is imperative.
