Abnl vag bleeding: is VERY common. It is a complicated hormonal balance to make the system work, and it can easily be knocked askew by infections, stress, etc. Far more common than cancer. Relax and have confidence that your Gyn will evaluate and educate.

Mid-cycle spotting: Ovulation occurs mid-cycle, and at age "28" sometimes two eggs are released. The estrogen level just prior to twin ovulations is high enough so that when it drops as the eggs are released it is enough to cause withdrawal bleeding briefly. The timing of what you describe is almost certainly not a symptom of cancer. Check with your provider to be reassured.

Spotting: The likelihood of cancer at your age is quite low. Why continue to worry. Seeing your physician who may do an ultrasound or a biopsy, sounds like a good idea. Uterine polyps are a frequent cause and while they could be related to cancer or precancerous changes, I've been lucky not to see that in someone your age ever.
