See your doc: It's not certain what's causing your symptoms, but strep pharyngitis could certainly be the cause. Your doc can perform an exam, culture your throat, check for strep with a rapid test in the office, and prescribe antibiotics if needed. In the meantime warm salt water gargles will help lessen swelling and pain until you can see you doc. Ask for a same day appointment for acute illness.Urgent care2
