A member asked:

Started 20mg of steroids for sarcoid. my eye pressure got so bad i had to stop taking after 5 days. my nose was stuffy and gum pain and migraine. why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Steroid responder: Some people respond to steroids when taking systemically or locally as an eye drop or inhaler, The response in the eye is an increase in the ocular pressure. Discontinuing the steroid will usually solve the problem, however,a drop to lower the pressure is sometimes necessary to lower the pressure. Steroids should be avoided if possible.
