Sore throats tricky: It's so hard to predict accurately when a sore throat IS NOT a strep throat. Your symptoms SOUND like either viral pharyngitis or allergic, right? But, you could also have strep. I would drink fluids, take a little something to knock the pain down a little, maybe some Motrin, and get a strep test done...you can go to a Minute Clinic or something....but I'd get it done.
