Here is ...: It is an inborn functional defect resulting probably from nerve or muscle deficiency in the intravesical segment of ureter leading to its ballooning effect, but causing varying degree of functional obstruction of no clinical significance in most of cases. Occasionally,the flapping effect from its large size & flexibility may cause obstruction in the bladder outlet - urethra usually in early age.
