Valve problem: Rheumatic heart disease typically manifests as a problem due to deformed valves. It's difficult to determine whether you are saying you have active rheumatic fever or the resultant damaged valves. Blood tests, a careful history and physical exam, chest X-rays and an echocardiogram can answer the question. A cardiologist could help clarify this.
