See doctor: Multiple possibilities (in the absence of additional information), including hormonal (menopause, thyroid, blood sugar), anxiety disorders/depression, sleep apnea. A good primary care evaluation at this point might direct you best.

Holter: Get a 24 hour recording of your heart rhythm (holter test). You sound like you may be suffering with a primary sleep disturbance. A brief course of a nighttime sedative/hypnotic medication may help break the cycle. Speak with your family doc about one.
