Pinched nerve: A pinched nerve can cause numbness in the lower abdomen but usually low back radiculopathies cause radiation of discomfort to the leg. Perhaps the superficial nerves of that portion of the abdomen are pinched or irritated. A neurologist is qualified to evaluate your symptoms.
