Fractured ribs are very painful& take weeks to heal. Numb feeling of left upper abdomen is a most unusual complication. The spleen is located there & if it was injured or if bleeding into the left pleural cavity occurred, these are serious complications. I recommend having a physician examine & order appropriate tests in order to advise you. You may be referred to a thoracic or abdominal surgeon.
