3200mg: You should not take more than 3200 per day. But that is even very high. If you need more than 800 mg every 6 hours, you need to see a doctor to have some other medication prescribed to you.

Ibuprofen: 3200 mg is the total daily dose in an otherwise healthy person without liver or kidney disease.
