Angio: Angiography has low but not zero complication rate. Problems at the puncture site include bleeding or artery injury; problems from contrast include kidney damage or allergic reaction; diagnostic site injury is possible with bleeding, arterial occlusion or embolism such as stroke during coronary or carotid angiography. Intervention (ballon, stent, atherectomy) higher risk than diagnostic study.
