It can be tricky!: Testing for cushing syndrome (overproduction of cortisol) can be tricky because cortisol production occurs on a circadian rhythm (high in the morning, low at night). The correct test needs to be done, and collected properly. Sometimes, the tests to confirm cushing syndrome need to be done several times over a few months, to be sure it's not being missed.
