A member asked:

What are the tests for tuberculosis diagnosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

2 types.: Standard tuberculin skin testing and TB blood testing (quantiferon and t-spot). Both only tell if a person has been infected with TB bacteria. It does not tell if the person is has latent TB or TB disease. Sputum and cxr will determine whether a person has TB disease.
