+ PPD: If you have a + PPD then you will be screened to determine if you have TB infection or TB disease. The physician will obtain a medical history, physical examination, chest x-ray, & any other pertinent lab tests.

Chest Xray And-----: If PPD(Mantoux) test is positive.We will order Chest Xray if it is positive.Next step is to get a specimen of sputum for culture&sensitivity and start the patient on Antibiotics.If chest xray is negative.And there are no signs and symptoms suggesting TB in other organs like Lymph Nodes,Bones or Kidneys etc.We recommend patient take INH as a preventive treatment for6months to kill dormant bacteria
