Lupus?: If the Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) was given to treat Lupus, 200mg dose, twice a day, does not always shut the condition down 100%. The symptoms listed could be signs that the Lupus is still active. Other medicines may need to be added, such as Prednisone, Methotrexate, or Cytoxan. Side effects and benefits of these meds should be discussed with your Rheumatologist, or other MD who prescribed the Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine).
