CT: Ct scan of the abdomen may be helpful in assessing cancer extent including metastases (spread) to other organs and lymph nodes.

May not: Be the beat choice, but can be one test performed. The ct scan may show stomach thickening but that finding can be non-apecific. Beat option is endoscopy and biopsy of the stomach.
