A member asked:

Where and how can you get someone tested for schizophrenia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See a psychiatrist: There's no test for schizophrenia. Psychiatrists are mds who evaluate schizophrenia & other mental disorders. Schizophrenia is diagnosed clinically, by signs and symptoms. These include a chronic pattern of social withdrawal, delusions and/or hallucinations, and flat (or inappropriate) emotional expression. There is no cure, but treatment helps hugely.
