Viral illness?: Temperature control and avoidance of dehydration are the most important things here, but I have no idea how old she is and what her medical history is to render a better evaluation. I suggest you treat any ear or throat infection with Amoxicillin if she is not Oen allergic, push clear fluids, and alternate Tylenol (acetaminophen) and Motrin every 4 hours until the fever breaks. Hard to believe ER ignored 105.3
