Can requip (ropinirole) xr be broken down in the stomach and not be absorbed into the blood stream because of the slowed muscles with parkinson's desease ?

No: Parkinson's affects the voluntary muscles and the autonomic nervous system. There can be swallowing and constipation problems but the enzymatic functions of the stomach should still be maintained. Talk with your neurologist - perhaps a different form of the medication would be more effective for you, or a different medication altogether.
