Perhaps not: Worthwhile trying Neupro (rotigotine) patch, which may not cause the allergic rxtn. If this too fails, go to various l-dopa preps, as unlikely to cause similar process.

Maybe, maybe not: It could be the ropinirole itself or it could be an "inert" ingredient in the formulation, especially if it's Requip XL. The only problem I've seen with the rotigotine patch (Neupro) is failure to stick or local allergy to the adhesive. But I notice that you're 39. At your age, consider DBS sooner rather than later. If your brain progresses past the DOPA-responsive stage, DBS won't work.
