Fibro cystic changes: Pain in breast almost never associated with a beingn or malignant lesion. The most common cause is usually related to an area of thickness secondary to dilatation of milk ducts. Stretching of ducts by fluid causes pain. While fibroadenoma most common cause of hormone stimulation in yourger patient, cystic changes most common in mid to late 30's do to hormone effect on milk ducts.
