Thalassemia minor: is a benign condition. It means one of the hemoglobin genes is producing an abnormal form of hemoglobin. Most people have no symptoms. The only consequence for your babies is if you also carry the same abnormal gene. In that case there is a chance that the baby would have a more severe form of anemia.
