A member asked:

If there's a blood test for fibromyalgia, why do no doctors mention it?

There's not one: Fibromyalgia is a 'diagnosis of exclusion' which means that the blood tests done during the work up of fibromyalgia are to rule out other possible diagnoses, such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, vitamin deficiency, & others. There is no test for fibromyalgia other than a physician taking your history & completing a thorough physical to determine if you meet the diagnostic criteria.

Because is none: ? of existence of blood test for fibromyalgia and why it is not being used. A blood test was discovered that showed positive in fibromyalgia patients and received wide press. The back story is that the test was positive for other conditions as well, so it is not useful for defining fibromyalgia, and probably measures general physiologic phenomena common to several chronic pain disorders.
