See A Sleep Doc: Insomnia is a complex problem. Different factor need to be looked at and evaluated such as environment, medications and sleep hygiene. I avoid using sleeping pills because they're used to cover up symptoms rather than treat the underlying problem. If I do use anything to help patients to reset their sleep cycle, I use Melatonin as a training tool. A sleep specialist can be of great help.
