Depends upon age...: During fetal development, testosterone is useful to make genetic male look like a boy when born. In adolescence, T is useful during puberty in developing secondary sexual characteristics eg hair etc. While low T can account for many conditions such as fatigue, depression, loss of sex drive, etc, there are many more common reasons for this than low T. Excess T is bad, too, so not DIY project.
