Result: We human cardiologists don't use the term endocardiosis. I found it in a veterinary ref. endocardiosis common cause of cardiac disease in the dog. Characterized by chronic fibrosis and nodular thickening of the free edges of the atrioventicular valves. In the worst cases the valve cusps are distorted converting a minor leak into a massive incompetence. Leads to congestive heart failure. There is no specific cause.
