See a dentist: The pyorrhea also called periodontitis is a bacterial infection that causes gum inflammation and destroys the gums, ligaments and bone around the tooth. This condition cannot be reversed with simple brushing, it can only be treated by a dentist. The good news is that it often can be treated successfully.
