what causes high hematocrits levels?

Dr. James Blachly

Dehydration and PV: Dehydration means not enough water in your body. If your red cells are the same, the Hb and Hct will show a higher concentration. PV or polycythemia vera, is when your body produces too many red blood cells. It can be caused by cancer, smoking, or sleep apnea.
