What can cause a swollen lymph node (no other symptoms)?

Infection or cancer: The most common cause is an infection in the region of the draining lymph node. Another concern is a malignancy. If the lymph node is persistently enlarged or growing, it should be evaluated and a biopsy may be required to establish a diagnosis.
