Active baby: Cord wraps are common & thought to arise commonly around 12 -15 weeks when there is more fluid to baby volume & the baby can turn & wrap themselves. It is often harmless and first known when a baby starts having problems in labor. It may lead to a c-section. I've seen as many as 5 neck wraps and 3 true knots in the cord in babies that delivered okay & grew up to be normal.
