Cord accident: A tight nuchal cord (around the neck) can restrict blood flow in the cord itself, thereby slowly and possibly stopping oxygen flow to the baby. Its occasionally seen on ultrasound, but the main thing to be concerned about is decreased or no fetal movement after 24 weeks of pregnancy. Talk to your OB about kick counts.
