Genetic heart dis.: Generally, there are primary genetic conditions affecting the electrical system, the structure of the heart (congenital anomalies), diseases of the arteries supplying blood to the heart, and conditions that result in heart failure (i.e. poor heart function). In addition, there are other genetic conditions that will secondarily affect the heart. There are specific types within each category.
