Should i be concerned about a tooth abscess?

Yes: You should be concerned about an abscessed tooth because this is an infection. An untreated infection can cause pain, swelling and can effect your entire body. See a dentist ASAP and get this tooth treated or extracted. Antibiotics alone will not cure this infection.

See a dentist ASAP: A dental abscess is a collection of pus that forms in your teeth or gums as a result of a bacterial infection. The infection may spread to your jaw, face, eyes, sinus and to other areas of your head and neck. Dentist will treat a tooth abscess by draining it and getting rid of the infection.
