Is it safe to smoke after vats pleurodesis?

No: It's not SAFE to smoke in anyone, ever!!! If you have had pneumothorax because of blebs, and this is why you are undergoing the procedure, smoking will further increase your risk of developing spontaneous pneumothorax. In addition, you already have damaged lungs, and you are going to damage them further. Talk to your doctor about smoking cessation and STOP NOW.

No. Just...no.: Why would you even consider that it would be safe? Of course not. Not for healing. Not for whatever underlying lung condition you have. No, no,no!
