More options monthly: Treatments for arthritis are numerous and multiplying monthly. Oral supplements such as chondroitin sulfate and/or glucosamine can help. Viscosupplementation with hyaluronic acid derivatives (Synvisc, Orthovisc, etc.) along with steroid injections can also provide relief in some patients. The newest line of injections with limited anecdotal clinical data use a form of platelet rich plasma.
