Second opinion: Occasionally, what we see through the microscope is something atypical or unusual and we require a second (and sometimes third) opinion from experts in that particular area. Perhaps your liver biopsy was one that required this additional expertise. I know that this delays the result, but the delay is worth it if it means giving you, and your doctor, the best possible answer.
