No need, won't help: First, a "prominent vein" usually isn't abnormal unless tender, red, etc. Just being "prominent" doesn't need treatment of any kind. Second, antibiotic creams like soframycin will not help this sort of skin problem. Stop self treatment of any kind. If you remain concerned, see a doctor for professional advice.

Prominent veins.: A normal prominent vein will not change by rubbing a topical antibiotic ointment on it.
