Many ways....: weaning from mechanical ventilation is the process by which a patient is removed from the ventilator. Sometimes it!s as easy as disconnecting the ventilator and the patient breathes normally. Sometimes it requires a very slow process. There are many factors that determine the weaning process for a certain patient like age, medical conditions( like lung disease, infections, etc.), medications, etc.
