My mom, 78, got trach a week ago. her ventilator is in ps mode, ps=4, peep=4, the setting is low, however, she cannot be weaned off from this setting?

Patience: She may need better nutritional status, control of any ongoing infections, and adequate muscle, cardiac and kidney function before weaning is possible.
