FMO3 gene: This is a genetic disease and it's not usually subtle. Your parents or teachers would probably have already had you worked up for an extremely pungent, bizarre rotten fish odor. There are milder cases being discovered nowadays. If people frequently tell you that you smell like rotten fish, you're probably affected. There's no treatment but you could get a genetic workup.
