What are the pros and the cons of getting a cochlear implant?

Many pros, few cons: Pros. Hear better Cons. Cannot have an MRI scan easily with a cochlear implant. You may have to hear things that you don't want to hear. The advantages so far outway the disadvantages. There is almost no reason not to implant in a child or adult that qualifies for this technology.
