Cochlear implant: There are centers around the country. I see you are in maryland. If close, go to hopkins. They have an excellent program.

Specialized ENTs: Children can have implants performed by pediatric ents with special training in cochlear implants or by neurotologists. It depends on the center you go to which doctor will be the one to do it. In all cases there will be a team of specialists (ents, audiologists, speech therapists, psychologists etc) who will evaluate such kids before the implant is performed.
