A member asked:

Should i get a cochlear implant for my right ear; what are the criteria?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: Typically cochlear implants are usually one used when a person has severe hearing loss in both ears. If you only have hearing loss in one ear a cochlear implants would not typically be used. There are other options for hearing loss in only one ear. Should see an otolaryngologist (ENT) for further recommendations.
