It depends: Typically cochlear implants are usually one used when a person has severe hearing loss in both ears. If you only have hearing loss in one ear a cochlear implants would not typically be used. There are other options for hearing loss in only one ear. Should see an otolaryngologist (ENT) for further recommendations.
