Multiple: Anesthesia is amnesia, analgesia and, often, akinesia (no movement). Each of these requires different medication, although some medication may have overlap (for example, ketamine would have analgesic and amnesic properties). The most common amnesics used are propofol, benzodiazepines, and anesthesia vapors. Analgesics would be narcotics and NSAIDs. The most commonly used relaxant is rocuronium
