Mittleschmertz: Mittleschmertz or middle pain is pain associated with ovulation and is pretty common. The egg develops in a cyst and when you ovulate the cyst ruptures. If there is a small blood vessel in the area a few drops of blood can be spilled and are very painful. I've had patients I thought might have appendicitis when this happened on the right but they don't have fever or an elevated white blood count.
