A member asked:

How will fluocinonide ointment affect a fetus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It should not: Fluocinonide is a steroid, and when used sparingly as a cream or ointment (usually for an inflammatory-type rash), it should have no effect on pregnancy. To be totally safe, most ob/gyns will ask you to wait until the end of the 1st trimester to use these medications.
