Terrible idea: This will cause a slight reduction in inflammation at the price of great overgrowth of the bacteria causing the acne and enlargement of the glands that produce the oil that breeds further acne. Plus, you're using a prescription medicine inappropriately. Get scientific. If topical benzoyl peroxide hasn't cleared you in two weeks, get with your personal physician.

A/W Dr. Friedlander: Lidex (fluocinonide) gel is a strong topical corticosteroid . Acne is not an indication for Lidex.
