Is fluocinonide ointment a safe treatment for a yeast infection?

Not really: It's not "unsafe" but it is not going to treat the infection. It may provide some relief of the irritation and itching but should be used with caution as this is a potent steroid.

Lidex (fluocinonide): Lidex (fluocinonide) gel is a STRONG topical corticosteroid. It is not a treatment for yeast.
